Part 46: Millionare
Trump the Samurai - Part 7 - MillionareLast time, the wind drake saved us from being abandoned on that backwater continent, but now we need to get dragon medicine.
The shops here sell the same stuff as in Regole, but I pick up Gold Needles for a specific purpose.
These guys show up in the basement of Bal Castle, and are actually quite threatening with high HP, damage, and the ability to cast Break. As shown before, Gold Needles have the ability to instantly kill them.
They are also worth a good amount of cash, a very small amount of EXP, but most importantly, 4 AP per battle. It takes 540 AP to master the last level of Samurai, so...
This is absolutely worth doing.
This description doesn't do Iainuki justice, because it actually inflicts instant death on all targets. It also has a base 85% hit, making it very reliable. It's only weakness is that it does nothing to Heavy targets, but there are several bosses who actually aren't heavy.
This wasn't a good shot of it in action, but this Abductor ain't nothin.
Here is a better look. This move trivializes most random encounters from here on out.
Trump then punches a werewolf into next week.
Not exactly the brightest bulb.
But I can't sing
Even undead that are normally healed by Death will still slice in two.
Bone Mail is pretty necessary for Dragon Pod, but having the higher defense keeps most encounters here from doing any damage with physicals.
The Wind Slash is only slightly stronger than the Ashura, but it has a chance to hit all enemies with the spell Wind Slash instead. Zeninage takes care of most multiple target bosses, but maybe there could be a use for it somewhere.
Oh no the medicine is evil let's kill it
Flowers lashing out
The sword disciplines them as
The wind blows onward
Iainuki has a wind-up, and these guys can stunlock, so Zeninage finishes them.

GIL THROWN AT BOSSES: 33,550G
Between the earlier grinding and selling the Hypno Crown, I am now loaded for a good while.
A little more couldn't hurt though.
Lenna again does a crazy thing and somehow survives.
But I guess she isn't the only one.
I stop by Castle Surgate to pick up a katana that has the same attack power as the Dancing Dagger, but without the agility boost.
The Dancing Dagger is pretty silly though.
But boy is it effective when it wants to be.
Gilgamesh doesn't hit all that hard here, although he does have Death Claw, which is legitimately scary.
After several failed dances, I get a good one, and Enkidu shows up.
He has no defense though, so he drops like a sack of bricks.
His boss isn't very far behind.
Gilgamesh 3

Barrier Tower was mostly grinding with Iainuki, but I did manage to actually get 2 Reflect Rings during the grind.
The reason being that this guy is a complete jerk.
At Level 38, it only takes 4 hits to kill him instead of 5.
And boy do I need it, because Comet hits like a space truck.
Fortunately, the one hit was the only one he got in.

Trump shoulderchecks Galuf and then jumps off the tower.
Next Time: World 2 comes to a close.
